CryoLiving™ founder, Eugene Pienaar, discovered Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBCT) whilst searching for a drug-free treatment for his condition – intractable insomnia – which he developed 18 months prior. Chronic medication was his only relief at the time. However, as an active sportsman, he struggled to recover after exercising, experiencing fatigue, inflammation, tender muscles and joints. After consulting numerous medical professionals, he was still no closer to a viable solution, until he discovered WBCT, after which he quickly realised that many others could benefit from the increasingly recognised results of this type of treatment. Meet the team
Eugene Pienaar holds an MBA (Cum Laude) from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He is a passionate entrepreneur, employing over 60 staff members in several businesses that he has founded. Eugene is passionate about health and fitness and has spent years researching alternative health options to optimise his vitality. He believes that more effort should be made to maintain optimal health rather than waiting for injuries or diseases to develop.
Cindy Van Der Merwe has joined Cryoliving as the Operations Manager. Cindy finished her Somatology qualification at ISA Carstens in Stellenbosch where she then went on to work in the aesthetic field. Cindy is passionate about her work and will be looking after the clients at CryoLiving as well as being part of the sales team at CryoLiving. With her dynamic personality she will take CryoLiving to new Horizons
Anita Naidoo is a consultant physiotherapist for CryoLiving™. She has 17 years of experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, and has spent the past 11 years gaining international experience in the corporate sector in London. She also has a wealth of experience in exercise prescription, pilates, hydrotherapy, dry needling and women’s health issues. She is qualified to provide whole body and localised cryotherapy, which is aimed at alleviating pain, accelerating healing and restoring normal bodily function.
Lauren Steele comes with a wealth of experience in sales and marketing. She heads up a division of CryoLiving™ focusing on sales of cryogenic equipment throughout Africa.
Alexis Fray studied at the International academy of Health and skin care.
Internationally qualified in 2008 and has just over 8 years’ experience in the industry doing aesthetic, wellness and beauty treatments
Has a background of working at 5 star spas as well as doing in-house trainings, and also bridal make-up. Has also had the privilege to work in the rocky mountains of the USA at a very reputable day spa. Experienced in specialised massage, Slimming, advanced skin treatments as well as other beauty and aesthetic treatments
