Cryotherapy for Anklylosing Spondylitis

In today’s blog I want to tell you a story of a delightful 15 year old who came to us a few months ago. He has been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, an autoimmune condition that affects all joints and organs and usually has disastrous consequences for the spine, causing increased inflammation, pain and reduced mobility.

He struggled up the stairs to CryoLiving and could barely raise his arms above shoulder height at his first session, he had to stop all sport because of the severe pain in both his knees, his skin was pale and he was emaciated (very thin).

After a course of 20 sessions of Whole Body Cryotherapy and 10 local cryotherapy treatments his mother reports that he is a different child, he is back to sport, even playing football which he is thrilled about. He has full range of motion back to his shoulders and knees and has even put on more muscle mass which is probably due to being back to sport!

We are thrilled by these miraculous results and wanted to shout it out!
